Eva Lundsager is an artist who makes paintings and works on paper that address possibilities in painting within a structure of an imagined, changing space. Eva Lundsager's abstract paintings suggest an evolving landscape and have been called "naturalistic and hallucinatory, bucolic and dystopian." She grew up in semi-rural Maryland, and attended the University of Maryland as an undergraduate, and then moved to New York, where she earned an MFA from Hunter College. Eva Lundsager (b. 1960) received a BA in Fine Art from the University of Maryland and attended the MFA program at Hunter College in New York, which she completed while working at the Gracie Mansion Gallery in the East Village. City Academy, 2006. When Public Notice II ended I wanted to find a home for the painting, and a teacher friend introduced me to the wonderful people at City Academy Saint Louis, a private school that provides scholarship support to all of its students.
